The NSF Graduate Teaching Fellows in K-12 Education (GK-12) Program supports fellowships and training for graduate students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Through interactions with teachers and students in K-12 schools, graduate fellows can improve communication and teaching skills while enriching STEM content and instruction for their K-12 partners. The Northeastern University GK-12 PLUS Program is seeking applications from graduate students in Biology, Chemistry and/or Engineering. Financial support begins during the summer of 2008 and will continue throughout the 2008-2009 academic year. A $30,000 per year stipend (paid in 3 installments) and tuition support is provided to selected students.
