Become a senator!

If you want to play an active role in the graduate student community, become a senator! Each graduate school is entitled to voting representation on the GPSA Senate. You can represent your college, vote, and participate in making decisions on important issues and university policies concerning graduate students. Various committees are formed to provide service to the graduate community, and they always need good help.

What is the Senate?

The Senate is composed of representatives from Northeastern University's seven graduate colleges and graduate student organizations. It serves as a forum for the communication of graduate student concerns and needs, as well as determining the policies of GPSA.

The regular term for a senator is September 1 - April 30. Any student can become a senator by filling out a nomination form (PDF, DOC) and returning it to the Student Activities Office in 228 Curry Student Center. Senators need to be approved by their college and must be in good academic standing.
