Transportation:

Northeastern University has a good connectivity to public transport. It has two T-stops which makes travel to any area within Boston easily accessible. The Orange Line and the Commuter Rail of the MBTA stops at Ruggles Station stop. While the Green Line “E” of MBTA stops at Northeastern Station stop. Bus number 8, 15, 19, 23, 22, 28, 29, 43, 45, 39 & 47 stops around the Northeastern area.

International Student and Scholar Institute:

The International Student and Scholar Institute (ISSI) provides many valuable services to international students, including assistance with immigration matters. The ISSI produces I-20 and DS2019 certificates of eligibility and authorizes international students to work on campus, if eligible. International students must complete and return the ISI/DCF form to the Graduate School of Engineering before a certificate of eligibility is issued. The ISSI will mail the appropriate certificate to students.

Lane Health Center:

Lane health center provides comprehensively primary medical and behavioral health care on- campus. You can visit www.uhcs.neu.edu for complete detail of health insurance, other health services that they provide. As a student at NU, you must provide the Health Center with proof of immunity to certain diseases, as specified below. Documentation of immunizations and/or titres must be on letterhead or prescription slip, and signed by a physician, nurse, nurse practictioner, or physician assistant.

Two Measles/Rubeola immunizations or positive antibody titre ,One Mumps immunization or positive antibody titre ,One Rubella/German Measles immunization or positive antibody titre ,Tetanus-Diphtheria immunization within the last 10 years ,Hepatitis B immunization series (of three) or positive antibody titre ,If you are unable to obain documentation (from high school, previous college, or military records), all immunizations, some requiring a fee, can be administered at the Health Center.
